About DSCET

Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of Engineering and Technology is an emerging institute of excellence in Engineering Education located on the East Coast Road, in the Historic Town of Mamallapuram. The college is run by the Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Health,Charitable and Educational Trust which has been in the field of education for more than a decade. The college is approved by the AICTE, New Delhi and is affiliated to the largest Technical University, Anna University, Chennai and Accreditated by NAAC with “A+” Grade.

In 2001, the College began with three Undergraduate Engineering programmes with an annual intake of 150 students, and now has 12 Undergraduate and six Postgraduate programmes with an annual intake of 1032 students. The AICTE’s clearance and affiliation with Anna University for such a progressive intake is a testament to the college’s consistent growth over the years.

Ours is one of the few colleges to acquire accreditation from the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi, for Undergraduate Engineering programmes as soon as they met the eligibility requirements. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has given the College a ‘A+’ grade. UGC has also granted the college 12(b) status. Anna University, Chennai has granted Permanent Affiliation for 5 UG courses viz. Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology and 1 PG Course: Master of Business Administration.
